Rep. Aaron Bernstine, representing Butler and Lawrence counties, has been appointed chairman of the Subcommittee on Workers Compensation and Worker Protection for the 2025-26 Legislative Session. The appointment was made by House Republican Labor and Industry Committee Chairman Seth Grove.

Bernstine will focus on issues related to workers’ compensation laws and policies, aiming to enhance safety for workers in Pennsylvania. He expressed his commitment to improving the state’s workers’ compensation system while balancing the needs of both employees and employers. “I’m honored to take on this responsibility and look forward to tackling the critical issues facing workers and employers in Pennsylvania,” Bernstine stated. He added that the subcommittee has an opportunity to make significant changes, pledging to work collaboratively for solutions that benefit all Pennsylvanians.

The House Labor and Industry Committee addresses matters affecting jobs statewide, including unemployment compensation, job training, child labor laws, workers’ compensation, and the Prevailing Wage Act.

In addition to his new role as chairman, Bernstine will serve on several other House committees during the 2025-26 legislative session. These include Insurance, Intergovernmental Affairs and Operations, and Transportation committees. In the latter committee, he also chairs the Subcommittee on Railroads.

The 8th Legislative District covers parts of Butler and Lawrence counties. Constituents can reach Bernstine’s offices at 724-752-2120 or 724-847-5291 for state-related inquiries or legislative concerns.
