Rep. Aaron Bernstine (R-Butler/Lawrence) will be hosting a seminar titled “Protecting Our Second Amendment Rights” on Tuesday, Jan. 16. The seminar aims to educate residents of the 8th Legislative District about Pennsylvania’s current gun laws.

The event, which will take place at the Scott Township Volunteer Fire Company in New Castle, has been well-received in the past. Bernstine expressed confidence that this seminar will also draw a large audience. He stated, “The feedback I receive from attendees, including longtime gun owners, is they learned something new through this seminar.”

During the seminar, residents will have the opportunity to learn about their rights and responsibilities as gun owners. The focus will be on Pennsylvania’s gun laws and Second Amendment rights. Lawrence County District Attorney Josh Lamancusa will be present to answer questions about concealed carry laws, the Castle Doctrine, and other important information pertaining to state gun laws.

Bernstine emphasized the importance of the Second Amendment, stating, “The Second Amendment protects our right to bear arms for self-defense, safeguarding our individual liberty. It was designed to prevent federal overreach and maintain a balance of power.”

Residents who have inquiries about the seminar can contact Bernstine’s district office for more information.

This seminar serves as an opportunity for individuals to stay informed about their rights and responsibilities as gun owners. By providing a platform for education and discussion, Bernstine aims to empower residents and ensure they have a clear understanding of Pennsylvania’s gun laws and Second Amendment rights.
