Rep. Marla Brown (R-Lawrence) has announced that Neshannock Township in Lawrence County will be receiving nearly $1.3 million in funding from the Multimodal Transportation Fund Program. The grant was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) to support traffic calming and safety improvements along Kings Chapel and Pulaski roads.

Brown expressed her satisfaction with the allocation of funds, stating, “I am pleased that funding has been awarded to help remedy safety issues in this neighborhood. I want to thank the Commonwealth Financing Authority for helping the Neshannock Township community create the infrastructure for better living conditions and advance economic development in the area. I was happy to advocate for this funding.”

The project was a collaborative effort, with Brown working closely alongside Neshannock Township supervisors to secure the funding. Brown highlighted the importance of road improvements for truck safety, stating, “In order for Steelite International, a warehouse and distribution center in New Castle, to remain as a viable part of our district, road improvements were imperative for truck safety.”

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) plays a crucial role in Pennsylvania’s economic growth, with a focus on funding programs and investments to support development across the state.

This grant represents a significant investment in the infrastructure and safety of Neshannock Township, with the aim of enhancing the quality of life for residents and supporting economic growth in the area.
