Total Joint Replacement Class at UPMC East
LOCATION: UPMC East, Conference Rooms

This FREE 2 hour class includes what to expect with your hip or knee replacement surgery and your recovery. You will learn: how to prepare for surgery so you are at your best, exercises you can complete before your surgery, post-operative nursing care, pain management, prevention of post-operative problems, and discharge planning.
UPMC is committed to the health and safety of our patients, visitors, and staff. To decrease potential spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and to limit traffic throughout the hospital and other classroom locations, you must wear a mask the entire time you are at the hospital.
Without a mask, you are not permitted to be in public areas of our facility, which includes the conference center where the class is held, under our guidelines and the advice of public officials. We cannot permit you to enter our facility for the safety of our patients, visitors, and staff .

All in-person classes are held in the Conference Center on the Ground Floor of the hospital.
Parking is free and handicap accessible. Wheelchairs are available at each entrance.
Parking Garage:
Park anywhere in the garage. Enter the hospital on the ground floor.
Bring the parking ticket with you; have it validated at the information desk.
Conference Center is on the ground floor of the hospital to the right of the information desk.
Main entrance:
Enter hospital and take the elevators down to the ground floor. Conference center is to your right.
Pretesting at UPMC East, 1st Floor
- All lab work, EKG, CXR are done on a walk-in bases. Expect 1-2 hours to complete
