On Sunday, Feb. 16, former New Castle Junior Senior High School standout Rocco Bernadina’s current college team, the Kent State Golden Flashes, lost 9-4 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the SIUE Cougars.

The game took place at Eddie Stanky Field. This was their first matchup against the Cougars this season.

The Golden Flashes’ next game is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 21 at 6 p.m. at OrthoGeorgia Park at Claude Smith Field against Mercer Bears.
