Borough of Wampum issued the following announcement on Nov. 10.
The Borough of Wampum is seeking a permanent, full-time employee. The ideal candidate will perform work in the Electric & Road Departments and on the Municipal Water and Wastewater systems and operate various equipment for repair and maintenance of Borough streets and facilities. This includes, but is not limited to, maintenance on assigned equipment, grounds and building maintenance. The candidate must pass a physical and drug test, possess a valid PA driver’s license and snow plowing experience is a plus. The successful candidate will work a 40-hour week with possible call outs after hours. The pay rate is up to $19.00/hr., depending on experience, and includes a benefits package (health/life insurance/pension).
