Rep. Aaron Bernstine has announced that schools in Pennsylvania's 8th Legislative District will receive over $1.64 million in grants aimed at enhancing school safety and providing mental health resources. These funds are awarded by the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency’s School Safety and Security Committee.

"Ensuring the safety and well-being of our students is one of the most important investments we can make for the future of our communities," stated Bernstine. "These grants will not only enhance school safety, but also provide vital mental health resources, empowering students and staff to thrive in a secure and supportive environment."

The allocation of grants to the school districts within the 8th District is as follows:

- Moniteau School District: $121,577

- Butler Area School District: $214,860

- Seneca Valley School District: $232,668

- Slippery Rock Area School District: $135,722
