Rep. Marla Brown has announced the allocation of $500,000 for an improvement project in Pennsylvania's 9th Legislative District. The funding, sourced from the Redevelopment Assistance Capital Program (RACP), is intended to bolster local infrastructure and economic growth.

Brown stated, “I am proud to announce this significant investment in our community.” She emphasized that “the renovation of the Union Station Crossing Wright Building will not only preserve an important historic site but also revitalize it for future use." According to Brown, "This project will provide improved accessibility, safety and functionality for all who use the space, ultimately benefiting our entire community.”

The grant has been awarded to DON Enterprise Inc. for a comprehensive renovation of the Union Station Crossing Wright Building. Planned upgrades include exterior improvements such as new windows and entries, stormwater management work, compliance with ADA standards, enhanced parking facilities, and upgraded lighting. Interior renovations are set to cover all five floors with updates including new mechanical systems—electricity, heating, air conditioning—as well as water systems, fire alarms and suppression systems. Insulated walls and flooring installation are also part of the interior enhancements.

The RACP is a Commonwealth grant initiative managed by the Office of the Budget aimed at supporting projects that promote regional economic development through design, acquisition, and construction efforts.
