Neshannock recently issued the following announcement.
Emergency repairs are necessary on the Mitchell Road bridge. Those repairs will require a full closure of the bridge at Mitchell Road and the eastbound ramps from Interstate 376 East and eastbound ramp to East 376 from Mitchell Road.
A detour will be in place routing traffic traveling east on Interstate 376 to the exit SR 208, with traffic then proceeding to Wilmington Road (SR 18 south) and then to Mitchell Road. This detour will be in place from 08/06/21 at 9 PM and remain in effect for 74 days, ending on 10/19/21. Only eastbound traffic will be impacted to and from Mitchell Road. Westbound access to Interstate 376 will remain open as will access to Mitchell Road from the westbound side of Interstate 376.
In addition to the Mitchell Road detour, a weekend closure of eastbound Interstate 376 will occur from 9 PM 08/06/2021 until 5 AM 08/09/2021. This detour will exit all traffic onto SR 208 in Pulaski and route traffic to Wilmington Road (SR 18) South to Mitchell Road. This detour is necessary so demolition work on the Bridge can take place.
