Rep. Marla Brown has announced that Wilmington Township will receive a grant of $497,630 from the Multimodal Transportation Fund. This funding is designated for a road paving and bridge replacement project aimed at improving infrastructure in the township. The initiative is expected to enhance safety, accessibility, and economic development for residents and businesses.

“These investments are key to fostering safer travel and creating a more resilient community,” stated Brown. She emphasized that the project would address aging infrastructure while ensuring that Wilmington Township remains connected and accessible in the future. “It’s a win for public safety and the local economy,” she added.

The Multimodal Transportation Fund, managed by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, supports transportation improvements across Pennsylvania. This grant aligns with the state's efforts to invest in infrastructure projects that contribute to economic growth and improve living standards throughout the Commonwealth.
