Forward Township in Butler County has been granted $216,100 for the rehabilitation of Ash Stop Park. The funding comes from the Community Conservation Partnerships Program (C2P2), as announced by Representative Aaron Bernstine.

Bernstine expressed support for the initiative, stating, "Investing in our local parks and recreational spaces strengthens our communities by providing valuable opportunities for outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship." He added that he is pleased Forward Township received the grant to enhance Ash Stop Park as a resource for both residents and visitors.

The project at Ash Stop Park will involve several improvements. These include renovating the existing trail, constructing an internal loop trail and parking area, enhancing ADA accessibility, landscaping, and installing a sign to acknowledge the grant funding.

The C2P2 program is managed by the Department of Conservation and Natural Resources' Bureau of Recreation and Conservation. It offers financial and technical support to local governments, nonprofits, and organizations focused on developing parks, recreation areas, conservation efforts, and greenway projects.
