The 3rd grade had a great Career Connection’s presentation with First Officer Holly Selby today as they finalized their Weather and Climate STEM unit. She explained her job as a pilot and the importance of the weather to her job, showing real time Doppler radar that she uses to help make her flight plans. First Officer Holly connected what the students have been learning about with weather and climate to her daily job and the kids had a great time being able to see how what they have learned applied to the job of a pilot. The 3rd grade would like to thank First Officer Holly for both of her presentations today and for her generous donations of new thermometers, a rain gauge, barometer and many other tools to help the 3rd graders learn about the weather!
